The 3rd St water main repair is complete and pressurized. Please run your outside spigots for approximately 15-20 minutes to clear air from water lines. Continue to boil any water used for drinking or cooking until further notice.

05/27/2026

❗️❗️UPDATE❗️❗️- The boil order is MANDATORY until further notice.

Due to the size & nature of the main break on 3rd St. we are going to have to shut off water completely to the 1300-1400 blocks of 3rd St. to make the repair.
When the water comes back on, please run an outside spigot for 10-20minutes to clear your lines.
We are issuing a precautionary boil order for this area as well for a minimum of 24hrs or until lab test results are in. This is for any water used for drinking, cooking, or brushing your teeth. We apologize for this inconvenience.
If you have questions please call the Public Works Director, Gaylon Pewe, at 563-219-5477.

Due to the truck issues with trash pickup today, pickup will begin at 6:00AM tomorrow morning.

05/26/2026

Republic will be back in town tomorrow, there is an issue with the truck this afternoon.
Please do NOT fill your bins with bricks or cement. This makes them too heavy for the arms on the truck to lift the bins.
