A very special thank‑you goes out to Tom Aronson for allowing us to use one of his houses for hands‑on training.

On Wednesday night, our members were able to fill the structure with training smoke and practice charged‑line placement along with search‑and‑rescue operations. For several firefighters, this was their first experience working in a true low‑visibility environment — something that’s extremely difficult to replicate in our standard training facilities.

Opportunities like this are invaluable, and we are sincerely grateful to Tom for giving us the chance to train in a realistic setting. It makes our department stronger and better prepared to serve our community.

The Camanche fire department would like to extend a huge thanks to the leadership team from LyondellBasell for the incredible donation of fire equipment. We will put it to good use as it will help serve our community for many years to come. A very special thanks to our own firefighter Lisa Tate also of Lyondell Basell, for helping to get us the equipment!

The Camanche Fire Department Pancake Breakfast benefiting the Muscular Dystrophy Association will be held on July 26, 2026 from 6 A.M. until Noon at the Camanche Middle School, is only 3 short months away. We are already preparing for it. As part of that, we are taking some steps to modernize our payment options. This year we are offering the option to pay in advance using Venmo. If you pay using Venmo you will have a line that you are directed to where you will give your name and we will be able to process you through very quickly. Think of it as your fast pass for the Camanche Fire Breakfast! The best part is you will also get a discounted price of $8 for adults which is $2 off of our normal price of $10. Our prices for kids 3-10 will remain at $5. Kids under 3 eat for free. You will still have the option to pay cash at the door, or pay with Venmo at the door, and we will have a limited amount of paper pre-sale tickets available.

Very Special Announcement!!!

The Camanche Fire Department is proud to announce that Camanche Hometown Pride, through the leadership and initiative of Kathy Klahn, has secured a $4,000 grant to support the development of our new Honor Guard program.

This funding will directly strengthen our department’s ability to represent our community with professionalism and respect.

• $2,000 will be dedicated to Honor Guard training, ensuring our members receive the highest level of instruction.
• $2,000 will be used to purchase Honor Guard equipment, allowing us to properly honor local ceremonies, memorials, and community events.

We extend our sincere appreciation to Kathy Klahn and the entire Camanche Hometown Pride organization for their commitment to supporting our department and the community we serve.
