POSSUM TROT, KY — February 14, 2026 — The Possum Trot-Sharpe Fire Department responded to a motor vehicle accident on Interstate 24 at the 21-mile marker at approximately 6:30 a.m. Saturday morning.

Emergency crews remained on scene until around noon assisting with incident management and safety operations. One westbound lane of I-24 was temporarily closed to provide a safe working area while the commercial vehicle involved was recovered by Bailey’s Wrecker Service.

No additional details are being released at this time.

Motorists are reminded to slow down and move over when approaching emergency scenes to protect first responders and recovery crews.
