The exterior of the Viking Medical Center in Valparaiso, Indiana is nearly completed, and the new building signage is in place, giving the facility a polished and finished look. This state-of-the-art building is entering the final stages of construction, and it’s exciting to see the vision coming to life.

Construction is moving forward on this exciting new William R. Nassau Community Park in Lowell, Indiana. The parking lot is being completed, interior work on the main community building is now in progress, and the amphitheater structure is rising. Hasse Construction is underway on renovations for the Munster School Corporation in Munster Indiana. The project includes a new 40,000 SF parking lot with sidewalks, storm drainage, site lighting, fencing, and landscaping. In addition, we are constructing a 1,200 SF addition to the existing storage building to allow for expanded baseball equipment storage and developing a new batting cage tunnel to support player training and development. Substantial completion is anticipated by October 31, 2025.

The 15,000 sq. ft. addition at Merrillville High School is moving forward! With the structure up and interior work now underway, this project is making great progress toward delivering a new kitchen and cafeteria for students and staff. Hasse Construction is the general contractor on the renovations at St. Thomas More Catholic Church and School, which include replacing the flat roof above the school, church offices, and chapel, along with the sloped roof above the sanctuary. The project also includes upgrading all gymnasium lighting, new dimmable fixtures in the church sanctuary, replacing two octagon crown skylights and 21 smaller domed skylights, and updating the finishes with a freshly painted sanctuary ceiling to complete the refreshed look.

Construction is underway on a new 500 SF masonry and steel Fish Cleaning House in Portage, Indiana. The project features a stainless steel fish cleaning table with six stations, along with a new parking lot and sidewalk to improve accessibility for the community. Work is scheduled for completion in October 2025.

Hasse Construction is at work on a new Public Works Operation and Maintenance Facility in Lowell, Indiana. This project will provide office space along with repair and storage areas for all Lowell Public Works vehicles. As part of the build, a large salt storage barn and a dedicated refueling area are included. The facility is scheduled for completion in June 2026 and will serve as a vital resource to support the community’s infrastructure and daily operations.

Progress is moving right along at the new Penske Truck Leasing facility in Merrillville, IN.! Structural steel is in place, and the fueling station canopy is up, giving a clear view of the facility taking shape on this 10-acre site. The 19,500-square-foot, single-story building features slab-on-grade construction, a pre-engineered metal building, and a masonry structure supported by structural steel columns and beams. This state-of-the-art facility is quickly coming together.

We are making progress on the Magoun Avenue project in East Chicago, IN. From Chicago Avenue to Columbus Drive, this complete street reconstruction includes a new water main and services, the removal and replacement of roughly 4,000 feet of large-diameter sewer, and all-new concrete curbs, sidewalks, and driveways. The upgrades will be topped off with fresh landscaping and lighting, bringing both improved function and a new look to the neighborhood.
