As with all Town Council meetings, it is open to the public, so anyone who would like to attend is welcome to come. As I write this on the eve of Election Day, I look forward to the results of the people’s vote. Win or lose, this has been a worthwhile journey. But it is not over yet. Four years ago, almost half of the votes for mayor were cast on Election Day.

On Election Day, I will be outside the Callahan voting precinct hold my signs and waving as people pass by. Feel free to drive by, wave, honk your horn, or even stop and hold a sign with me.

Thanks to all who have asked questions, given encouragement, liked/followed/shared this page, put a sign in their yard, or otherwise assisted with my pursuit of Mayor.

We are in the final days of Early Voting and Election Day is right around the corner. For our entire marriage, my wife Stephanie and I always go to the poll together, usually on Election Day itself. We have always made voting a big deal in our household and have included our children in the process as well. Over the years we have taken them into the poll with us so they could see everything first hand. Hopefully as they become adults, they will continue to value the privilege of voting and pass that on to their children.

As you head to the polls, take pride that you live in a country where we have the privilege to choose who represent you at the local, state, and national level. Also, if you happen to see my name - Randy Knagge - on your ballot, I would be honored if you choose to allow me to represent you as Mayor of Callahan.

Another busy week is in the books. We had the start of Earky Voting on Wednesday and I was able to attend the Westside Prayer Breakfast at the Hilliard Council on Aging Senior Center on Thursday.

I would like to thank everyone who has interacted with this page. I appreciate all the likes and the comments. We are in crunch time in this election, and every vote counts. The last mayoral election for Callahan was decided by only six votes. Make no mistake, your vote counts.

If you live within the town limits of Callahan and are still deciding on who to vote for, I invite you to look at the other posts I have made to learn more about me. If you honor me with your vote, please ask your family and neighbors to consider voting for me as well.

Please like, follow and share this page. Also, please consider holding a sign for me near the Callahan polling location any day of early voting or on Election Day.

The day has finally come. Early voting has started, and the time to vote is now. As you head to the polls, I ask that you select Randy Knagge for Mayor of Callahan.

The mayoral election only involves residents who reside within the town limits of Callahan, which is under two square miles, a much smaller area than the Callahan zip code.

Here are a few things I would like to work on as Mayor. I would like to increase public safety though additional sidewalks, particularly in areas where there are students walking to and from school. I will work to bring additional traffic lights, particularly at Mickler and US 301. That light is currently not even on the state FDOT 5 year plan. I will work with our representatives and make trips to Tallahassee in order to get that moved up on their list if there is any way possible. I will be actively engaged with the county officials and commissioners to be sure that the interests of the Town are represented. Also, the Town has worked hard in recent years to put it in a good position financially. I will continue that trend of fiscal responsibility.

Thank you for considering me for your vote.

As the fair has drawn to a close, so has eleven days of exhausting yet gratifying work. In addition to my day job, I have devoted many hours working the CMS Band funnel cake booth. It is so satisfying working alongside the many wonderful people in our booth as well as the volunteers from the booths around us. That is actually the best part of the fair to me. Being around individuals who both care and are willing to put in the work.

You may ask, what does this have to do with my desire to become Mayor? Everything. I love this small town, as I am sure many others do. After all, that is likely why you live here. Just like I worked tirelessly to ensure that funnel cake booth was successful, working and closing the booth 10 of the 11 nights, I will work tirelessly for the success of this town.

As you prepare to cast your votes this election season, please consider voting Randy Knagge for the Town of Callahan Mayor.

Thank you.

We are almost a week away from the start of Early Voting on Oct. 26th and I urge everyone to get out and vote. The early voting site in Callahan is at the Walter Junior Boatright County Building on Mickler Street. If you live in the town limits of Callahan, I ask that you please consider casting your vote for Mayor to myself. If you would like to know more about me, please take a look at previous posts on this page or reach out to me through the post comments or Facebook Messenger.

Many have asked how they can assist me in the election, so here are a few suggestions.

1. Tell anyone you know that lives within the Callahan town limits to vote for me. Family, friends, neighbors, co-workers, etc.

2. Hold one of my signs near the County Building on any of the Early Voting days and/or on Election Day. I will have signs available at my house for pick up and drop off for anyone interested. Whether it is 30 minutes or 3 hours, it will very much be appreciated.

3. For those within the town limit, place a one of my yard signs in your yard. I still have some available.

I love our small town and look forward to serving you as Mayor.

Thank you.

On this beautiful Sunday morning, I am working in the media booth at my church as I do nearly every time the church doors are open. Part of my service to the community includes service within the body of Christ.

To that end, serving others/volunteering is more than something to pass the time or work for work’s sake. It is an opportunity to give back to the community and make a difference, be it in your local church, school, youth sports, non-profit, or as simple lending a hand to neighbor. Find somewhere to serve, and not only will you impact the person or group you are serving, but you will also experience a blessing yourself.

As we enter this election season, I ask you to vote Randy Knagge for Mayor so that I may have a greater opportunity to serve this community even more.
