Since 3:00pm yesterday, the California Volunteer Fire Department has responded to 55 weather related incidents. Thank you to Roscoe VFC, Stockdale Fire Dept and California Borough Police Department and California Borough Street Department for assisting us yesterday.

There are still multiple areas with trees down and wires down. Please follow all road closed signs and do not attempt to drive through the affected areas.

Please do not approach downed or hanging wires. Assume all wires are live and maintain a safe distance.

Please continue to call 911 for any emergencies.

Crews will be out doing damage assessment today and tomorrow.

🎓🌟 Senior Spotlight: Logan Hartley 🌟🎓

Today we are proud to celebrate California Area High School senior, Logan Hartley!

Logan is an active member of SADD, Future Ready Leaders, NHS, Relay For Life, and Envirothon, demonstrating his commitment to both his school and community. He is also a dedicated athlete, playing both football and baseball.

Outside of school, Logan serves his community as a Volunteer Fire Fighter and enjoys spending his free time hunting and fishing.

After graduation, Logan plans to attend college to pursue a degree in Criminal Justice, with the goal of becoming a Pennsylvania State Trooper.

We are so proud of you, Logan, and wish you all the best in your future! ❤️💛
