National Day of Prayer Event - McLean County Courthouse - Noon

Please join the McLean County Ministerial Association today at noon for a time of prayer and personal dedication as we celebrate 250 years as a nation.

There will also be a Prayer Walk at 6:00 p.m. beginning at Calhoun Baptist.

A slight risk (level 2 out of 5) for severe thunderstorms remains in place today from the MO bootheel across west KY and into southwest IN. This will come in two rounds, the first this morning and another round later morning into the afternoon. Main threat will be damaging winds with a secondary threat of 1 inch hail and a couple spin-up tornadoes.

Serving as McLean County Judge/Executive has been one of the greatest honors of my life for the past six years. It is a responsibility I have never taken lightly, and one that I approach each day with humility, respect, and a deep sense of duty to our citizens.

With the filing deadline officially closed, I'm humbled to be able to run unopposed.

I am truly thankful for the trust placed in me by the people of McLean County and for the support of my family, our county employees, first responders, community leaders, and countless neighbors who care deeply about this place we call home. Together, we have faced natural disasters and financial challenges, made progress, and worked steadily to move our county forward.

As we look ahead to the next four years, I am excited and motivated to continue serving, focused on steady leadership, responsible management, and thoughtful planning for the future of McLean County. There is still important work to do, and I remain committed to listening, learning, and leading with integrity.

🦌 Deer Movement on the Rise — Stay Alert!

If you’ve been following our recent deer movement updates, you’ve probably noticed the trend — deer activity is increasing across Kentucky. That’s great news for hunters, but it also means drivers need to be extra cautious on the roads.

As the rut approaches, deer are moving more — especially during early morning and evening hours. This makes deer-related collisions more likely.

🚗 Motorists:

-Stay alert in areas with woods, fields, and creeks nearby.

-Slow down, especially at dawn and dusk.

-Never swerve to avoid a deer — it’s safer to brake firmly and stay in your lane.

Kentuckians who want to help reduce deer numbers can do so while enjoying time outdoors this fall, and sourcing lean-protein for the freezer. A Kentucky statewide deer permit includes four tags, offering plenty of opportunity to responsibly harvest deer and contribute to population management.

The Road to November 2026 Starts Today! 🇺🇸
Today marks the beginning of the journey toward re-election as your McLean County Judge/Executive — and I am deeply humbled to have the early support of two dedicated public servants, Sharon Walker and David Rickard.
Their faith in my leadership and commitment to McLean County means a great deal to me. Both have served our community with integrity, care, and an unwavering focus on doing what’s right for the people we call neighbors and friends.
As we begin this next chapter, I’m filled with gratitude for their encouragement — and for all those who continue to believe in the progress we’re making together.
