October drill was our annual weapons qualification. I'm very proud of how well we performed, despite the long hours and too-dry-for-tracers but wet-enough-for-rain weather! We also had classes on evaluations, maintenance, our new mission essential tasks, and the Army substance abuse program.

As we go in to this November, I want to remind everyone that November 8th is election day, and I encourage you to look into each candidate/issue on your ballot and cast your vote!

This September drill, we had 3 main events. First, we had our pre-marksmanship training to get ready for October's weapons qualification. This year, we used a laser-based system to help review the fundamentals. Second, we did a practice hurricane load-out, where we physically verified that our load plan was good by lining up all of the hurricane-essential equipment with their assigned truck and trailer. And third, on Sunday afternoon we had a family day, and great weather for it!
I hope everyone is enjoying the cooler weather. Stay safe, and I look forward to seeing you later this month!
