La Ciudad de Calexico ha preparado un Reporte de Impacto Ambiental Programático (DPEIR, por sus siglas en inglés) para el Plan de Vivienda de la Cuidad de Calexico y lo ha publicado en el sitio web de la Ciudad para revisión y comentarios del público. Este reporte ambiental evalúa los posibles impactos ambientales del Plan de Vivienda y de los cambios relacionados con el uso de suelo y la zonificación, incluidos los efectos sobre la calidad del aire, las tierras agrícolas, el transporte, el ruido y otros recursos. Identifica medidas para reducir los impactos y analiza aquellos que seguirían siendo significativos e inevitables.

El periodo de revisión pública del reporte ambiental es de 45 días comenzando el 11 de septiembre de 2026 y concluyendo el 26 de octubre de 2026. Una vez concluido este periodo, el Cabildo considerará y podrá certificar el Informe de Impacto Ambiental Programático y tomar otras medidas durante una audiencia pública que se anunciará previamente, en una fecha y hora por determinar. Los comentarios por escrito y por medios electrónicos sobre este reporte deberán recibirse a más tardar el lunes 26 de octubre de 2026 a las 5:00 p. m., por correo electrónico a [email protected] o por correo postal a la siguiente dirección:

The City of Calexico has prepared a Draft Program Environmental Impact Report (DPEIR) for the 6th Cycle Housing Element and has posted it on the City’s website for public review and comment. The DPEIR is accessible from the following link: https://www.calexico.ca.gov/?SEC=75E0B2A9-8C2E-438C-AE0A-E87942C3F18B

The Draft Program EIR evaluates potential environmental impacts of the Housing Element and related land use and zoning changes, including effects on air quality, farmland, transportation, noise, and other resources. It identifies measures to reduce impacts and discusses impacts that would remain significant and unavoidable.

The 45-day public review period of the DPEIR begins September 11, 2026 and ends October 26, 2026. Following the end of the public review period, the City Council will consider and may certify the Program Environmental Impact Report and take other actions at a noticed public hearing on a date and time to be determined. Written and electronic comments addressing the DPEIR must be received no later than Monday, October 26, 2026 at 5 p.m. via e-mail to [email protected] or mail at the following address:
