Caledonia Water & Sewer Department is taking applications for a water/sewer technician. Applications may be picked up at Caledonia Water & Sewer Dept at 202 South Street, Caledonia, MS.
ALL applications must be submitted by August 1, 2024!

NOTICE REGARDING FINAL NOTICES: If you received a cut-off notice, the incorrect date was listed. The bill MUST be paid by
April 2, 2024 or the water will be shut off on April 3, 2024. (The date listed to be paid by was March 21st). We apologize for this error.

ATTENTION: Cal-Kolola Road, Hillbrooke Way, Lexington Lane, Jemison Road, Parts of Dale Road, and Buck Egger Road will be off due to a blown out line. They are working as quickly as possible to restore water service to these areas. Thank you for your patience in getting this line fixed.

CWS usually does cut-offs (for non payment) on or around the first of each month. It's usually the first Wednesday of the month, although it can be the first Tuesday! We do not cut off on Fridays because of the weekend. That way nobody is without water all weekend.
We usually read meters - approximately 2400 - around the 13th of each month. (ie- if we read meters on January 13th and read again on February 13th, that is your billing cycle.) The bills for these charges are sent out the end of each month. If your bill is dated January 31st, that means these charges are due February 15th! If your bill hasn't been paid by the 15th, a final notice is mailed out around the 20th and tells you if payment is not made by the date on the notice, your water will be cut off on the day listed. After your water is cut off there is a $50 reconnect fee that HAS to be paid before water service is reconnected. (ie. -if your PAST DUE amount is $45.00 and you have to pay the reconnect fee of $50 the total that will have to be paid to restore service is $95.) If you don't pay your bill in FULL (meaning the past due and the current amount due) you will have a remaining balance. But if you pay your bill in full and didn't pay the reconnect fee, the reconnect fee will be taken out of the amount paid and that will leave you a balance going into the next month. If you are cut off and go online and pay your bill, please call the Water Department and let us know because these payments don't automatically post to your account until the next day when we receive the file from the card processor.
We do not cut back on after 3:00 because the men are checking the plants.

With all this being said, If you call or come in the Water Department cussing and yelling this will not be tolerated anymore! And it definitely will not get your water cut back on any quicker!!
