🐢 SPECIAL VILLAGE VISITOR ALERT! 🐢

This morning, a snapping turtle was spotted taking a stroll through the Village Hall parking lot. Apparently, it had some business to attend to... or maybe it was just looking for a parking permit!

After her visit, she was safely escorted back to the pond, where she belongs. We're hoping she'll decide to become a Village Hall regular as she certainly seemed interested in local government!

Since she may be making future appearances, we think she deserves an official name.

Help us out! What should we call our newest Village Hall resident? Drop your best name suggestions in the comments below. Bonus points for clever, funny, or village-themed names!

Who knows....if she keeps stopping by, she might even become our unofficial Village Hall mascot.

🚧 Road Closure Notice 🚧

The Union Pacific Railroad has scheduled repairs at the railroad crossing on 3 Mile Road, just west of Douglas Avenue.

Closure Schedule:
• Begins: Wednesday, June 3 at 6:00 a.m.
• Reopens: Thursday, June 4 at 6:00 p.m.

During the closure, a detour route will be in place directing traffic north to 4 Mile Road and then east to Green Bay Road.

Please plan ahead, allow extra travel time, and use caution when traveling through the area. Thank you for your patience during these necessary repairs.

The water spigots at the cemetery are officially on for the season. Water buckets will also be placed out later today for visitor convenience.
