📢 SCAM ALERT – DDS Warns of Fraudulent Text Messages
The Georgia Department of Driver Services (DDS) is warning customers about a new text message scam attempting to steal your money and personal information — including your driver’s license details.
🚨 These fraudulent messages claim to be from the State Department of Motor Vehicles (DMV) — but Georgia does not have a DMV. The scam message urges recipients to pay an "outstanding traffic ticket" or risk having their license suspended.
👉 This is a scam. DDS team members will never contact you via text to request money or personal information.
💡 If you’ve received a message like the one shown here, do not click the link or respond.
