Food safety is essential for anyone working in foodservice. Join us for a 1-Day ServSafe Manager Certification Course and Exam on Tuesday, July 28, 2026. This training prepares foodservice managers and employees to earn a nationally recognized food safety certification.

💲 Cost: $150 per participant

📚 Registration Includes:
• One full day of instruction
• ServSafe Manager book & study materials
• Certification exam
• Light snacks during the training day

🕗 Time: 8:30 AM – 5:00 PM
🥪 Short Lunch Break around noon: Lunch is not provided, so please plan accordingly.

As we head into harvest season, now is the perfect time to make sure your pressure canner is safe and ready to use! Properly functioning equipment is essential for safely preserving your homegrown foods.

🔧 Did you know?
UGA Extension FACS offers FREE pressure canner inspections and dial gauge testing to help ensure accuracy and food safety.

⚠️ Safety Tip:
• Dial gauges should be tested every year before each canning season
• Seals (gaskets) should be replaced every 3 years or sooner if they’ve been heavily used

📚 Safe canning doesn’t stop with your equipment—be sure to always use research-based, tested recipes from trusted sources like the National Center for Home Food Preservation (NCHFP). These approved recipes are scientifically tested to keep your food safe for you and your family.
