🐠🎢 End‑of‑Year Fun!

5th graders celebrated the end of the school year with a big day at the Mall of America! They kicked things off by exploring the Sea Life Aquarium, then headed to the Nickelodeon Theme Park for an afternoon packed with fun and excitement.

Such a memorable trip for an amazing group of students! 👏🏻

📚🗺️ A Journey Through American History!

It’s that time of year when 5th graders wrap up their social studies journey by learning how the United States expanded west. Students began by exploring the regions of Native Americans, then moved into the original 13 colonies, the events that led to the Revolutionary War, and finally the nation’s complete expansion west.

Along the way, they studied the cause and effect of each event and how interactions between different groups of people shaped our history. What an incredible year of learning! 👏🏻

🌳🦌 What a day for Hornet Care!

The kids played at the park, enjoyed donuts, had a picnic lunch, spotted a deer by the playground, and cooled off with root beer floats for their last Monday of Hornet Care for the school year!

So much joy and adventure packed into one day! 👏🏻☀️

We’re so proud of these little learners and all they’ve accomplished this year.

There was a special guest visitor in Ms. Sedivy’s classroom to teach our students about the moths their family has been raising. 🦋

Students learned about two endangered species, the Cecropia Moth and the Polyphemus Moth, and were fascinated by their size, colors, and life cycle.

One of the highlights of the day was releasing two moths into the wild, giving students an exciting hands‑on learning experience and a chance to see these amazing creatures up close.

👏🏻 A big thank you to Kasey for sharing her knowledge and giving the class such a memorable experience!
