The Cadiz Police department would like to congratulate Joshua Bogle in his graduation from class 562 from the Kentucky Department of Criminal Justice Training.
The graduates of Class 562 received more than 800 hours of recruit-level instruction over 20 weeks. Major training areas include patrol procedures, physical training, vehicle operations, defensive tactics, criminal law, traffic and DUI, fi****ms, criminal investigations, cultural awareness, bias related crimes and tactical responses to crisis situations.
Before pursuing a new career in law enforcement, Officer Bogle served as a Chief Warrant Officer-2 from the U. S. Army before retiring.
Officer Bogle will begin his Field Training today and will be paired up with multiple training officers over the course of the next 10-12 weeks before he is released to solo patrol.
If you see Officer Bogle out and about, please congratulate him on his recent achievement.

For this year's 2025 Trigg County Country Ham Festival we are bringing back the much-requested Canoe Race!

The canoe race will take place Saturday October 11th at 11am.

If anyone is interested in paddling for the title, please Complete and fill out an application and waiver form. The forms can be picked up at Cadiz City Hall or at the Cadiz Police Department.

The sign-up sheets and waiver forms must be completed and submitted with your entry fee no later than Friday, October 3rd, 2025. The forms and entry fee must be submitted to Chief Tyler Thomas or Cadiz City Hall by 4:00pm. We only have slots for 20 teams so please come in and sign up ASAP!

Winning prizes include the following:
1st Place Team - $250.00, Champion Trophy and Ham Fest Swag

🚨 Attention Trigg County Residents 🚨

As of today, a burn ban is in effect for Trigg County until further notice. 🔥❌

This means:
• No outdoor burning of any kind (leaves, brush, trash, etc.)
• All open burning within the county in prohibited .
• Please use caution with grills and other outdoor equipment

The ban has been put in place for the safety of our community due to current dry conditions and increased fire risk. Let’s all do our part to prevent accidental fires and keep Trigg County safe.

We’ll keep you updated when the ban is lifted. Thank you for your cooperation!

This year for our back to school Pack The Patrol Car event, a total of $1803.00 dollars was raised in donations and we completely filled a cruiser with those needed items for the students. We would like to give a special shout out to the Cadiz Rotary Club for the generous $1000.00 check for this event. The Family Resource Center will be able to distribute these items throughout the year.
