Wexford County Road Commission, an Equal Opportunity Employer, is seeking a Fleet & Facilities Manager.
This is a leadership position that is responsible for planning, directing and supervising the activities and operations of the mechanic shop and contractors to ensure equipment, building and yard areas are kept in a state of good repair. The candidate should have a Michigan master heavy duty mechanic certification or equivalent and a Class B CDL, with airbrakes, no restrictions and the ability to acquire Class A CDL and the ability to acquire Michigan Class A & B underground storage tank certification. Closure delayed a day. Closure will be Friday 9/27/24 and Monday 9/30/24, scheduled times are the same.

Notice of MDOT Road Closure:
M-115 at US-131 will be closed from approximately 7:00 p.m. to 6:00 a.m. for bridge construction on Thursday 9/26/24 and Friday 9/27/24.

Our drivers have a set amount of hours they can work. We appreciate all they do to get the job done! If they’re working long hours, we don’t mind if they need to stop for coffee, sandwich, or just to stretch their legs. We keep the highways and main roads plowed first. During the day we try to get one pass through all the roads but until it stops snowing we can’t get everything completely opened up. Our mechanics do an amazing job keeping the equipment on the road! Hats off to our crew!
