Imlay NV Small town with a BIG HEART♥ The town was founded by the Southern Pacific Railroad in 1908. It was a primary stop on the SPR.

As of the 2010 Census the town of Imlay has 171 people; however the Imlay zip code, 89418 consisting of the Greater Imlay Area communities Mill City, Humboldt, Buena Vista Valley and Unionville, has a population of 388. In its heyday the town consisted of the railroad round house many stores and small businesses. Today there is no railroad stop but it is the hub of seasonal gold prospectors and ou

tdoors men. The town hosts two churches, Catholic and Baptist, Imlay Elementary School K-5, U.S. Post Office and the Turn 3 General Store and RV Park. Few Nevada towns can boast to not having any gambling or prostitution within its town limits, but Imlay can. Imlay’s convenient location between the Trinity, Eugene and Humboldt mountain ranges give nugget prospectors and crystal hunters a base camp for their outings. The lazy Humboldt River provides a fisherman’s paradise only five miles from the Turn 3 RV Park. Imlay is an unincorporated town in Pershing County, NV. It has easy access to Interstate 80 and within a 30 -40 minute drive either way to Lovelock, NV or Winnemucca, NV, where most town folks do their weekly shopping. The residences of the town enjoy a laid back slower pace of life. This page is to inform residences of events and activities going on in Imlay. It also provides out-of-towners with the opportunity to live vicariously in rural Nevada.

Pershing County proposes to select and hire an attorney to fill the position of the vacant unexpired term of the District Attorney to provide legal representation for Pershing County both civil and criminal pursuant to NRS 252.060 and NRS 245.170. The appointment may be a permanent appointment for the remainder of the unexpired term ending December 31, 2026.
Applicants must meet the following qualifications:
1. Must be admitted to practice law in the State of Nevada and be an active member in good standing of the State Bar of Nevada.
2. Must have attained the age of 21 years on the date he/she would take office.
3. Is a registered voter in the State of Nevada.
4. Must not have been convicted of a felony or any offense involving moral turpitude, regardless of whether or not civil rights have been restored.
5. Civil and Criminal experience is desired.
Submittal of Qualifications:
Must be submitted to Pershing County Clerk, 398 Main Street, P. O. Box 820, Lovelock, Nevada 89419. The qualifications shall be placed in a sealed envelope marked clearly, “Response to RFQ for Pershing County District Attorney”. Provide one copy. Position will remain open until filled.
