Democrats are calling for a proper and transparent investigation in cooperation with state law enforcement authorities.

The Trump Administration has called Good a "terrorist" before seeing ANY evidence.

This GOP clown show needs to end.

Vice President Vance recently told reporters, live on camera, that law enforcement officers such as the ICE officer who killed Renee Good in Minnesota, enjoy ABSOLUTE IMMUNITY from prosecution for acts done "in the line of duty."
There is no such thing as "Absolute Immunity." Law enforcement does enjoy "Qualified Immunity," which doesn't have many limits but does have some.
One of those limits was established last year in an unanimous ruling of the current US Supreme Court in Barnes v Felix.
In the Barnes v Felix ruling, SCOTUS rules that when judging whether it was appropriate for an officer to use deadly force, you cannot look merely at the "moment of threat." You must look at.the entire set of circumstances. If the officer took an inappropriate action that put him in a life or death situation, he can still be found criminally liable for using deadly force.
Good was retreating. She was trying to leave the scene. The ICE officer stepped into the path of her vehicle, putting himself at risk and, therefore, losing his right to use deadly force to "protect himself."
IN CONCLUSION: there is no such thing as "Absolute Immunity," and the ICE officers own actions put himself in "danger," thus undermining his claims to "Qualified Immunity." An independent investigation of this case is needed if Justice is to be served.
The text of the Barnes v Felix ruling is attached to this post. Please read it for yourselves.
