Triton Regional School District Respect - Integrity - Excellence for All
Triton Regional School District serves the Massachusetts coastal towns of Newbury, Rowley & Salisbury.

The Triton Regional School District serves the Massachusetts coastal towns of Newbury, Rowley and Salisbury. Located in the northeast corner of the state, these three communities provide a distinct population of students to the school district. With all three rural towns dating back to the 1630's, the area is rich in historical traditions and attractions which add to the academic experience of our

students. The District is comprised of one elementary school in each town ranging in population from 575 to 675 students in Pre-K through grade 6. Upon completing the sixth grade, students attend the Triton Regional Middle School which houses approximately 475 students in grades 7 and 8. Sharing the same campus in Byfield, the Triton Regional High School houses around 900 students in grades 9 through 12. The total student population of the district is approximately 3,250 students from Preschool through the 12th grade.

Spreading Kindness Across Triton Middle School!

This week, our Voices of the Vikings student leadership and advocacy group took time to recognize the incredible staff members who make a difference in our school every day.

From hosting a Staff Appreciation Breakfast and leaving thoughtful messages of appreciation on coffee sleeves, to sharing notes reminding teachers and staff just how much they impact students' lives, our students led the way in spreading gratitude and kindness.

We are so proud of these student leaders for using their voices to celebrate and uplift others. A huge thank you to all of our Triton staff for the care, dedication, and support you provide each and every day. Your hard work does not go unnoticed, and our school community is stronger because of you.

As part of our Alumni Speaker Series, Salisbury Elementary School welcomed back a former student last month, who is now a social studies teacher at Triton Regional Middle School. Mr. McAdams shared stories about his own school journey, the challenges he faced, the opportunities he embraced, and how those experiences helped shape the path he's on today.

Students connected with his message about trying new things, getting involved in clubs and activities, and not being afraid to explore different interests as they grow. They learned that success doesn't come from having everything figured out right away—it comes from effort, perseverance, and keeping an open mind to new opportunities.

After the visit, many students shared that they felt more optimistic and comfortable about the move to middle school. Students especially appreciated getting an inside look at what middle school is really like—from classes and lockers, to daily routines and opportunities to get involved, as well as the importance of finding a supportive "hype squad" of friends, mentors, and trusted adults along the way.

One of the biggest takeaways? It's okay if your interests and future goals change over time. Growing up is about exploring possibilities, discovering your strengths, and finding the people who encourage you to be your best.

Thank you Mr. McAdams for returning to your elementary school roots to inspire our future MS students! We can't wait for these students to see a familiar face when they arrive at Triton—and perhaps even have you as their social studies teacher in the years ahead!

As part of our Alumni Speaker Series, Pine Grove Elementary School was excited to welcome back a former Triton student, none other than our very own Principal of Triton Regional Middle School (Mr. MacRae)!

Last month, our 6th graders had the opportunity to hear about his journey from student to educator, the different career paths he explored along the way, and what students can expect as they transition to middle school.

The impact of his visit was clear. Students shared that they left feeling more excited, prepared, and confident about moving on to Triton MS. They said that Principal MacRae helped ease their worries, made middle school feel less intimidating, and inspired them to look forward to the opportunities ahead.

Students also learned valuable lessons about trying their best, staying organized, getting involved, working hard toward their goals, and understanding that career paths can change as they discover new interests and passions.

Thank you Principal MacRae for taking the time to invest in our students and help make this important milestone feel exciting, meaningful, and full of possibility. We are grateful for your leadership and for continuing to inspire the next generation of Vikings!
