With high temperatures and ongoing drought conditions, fires can burn longer, spread farther, and require firefighters to spend hours — sometimes even days — on the fireground.

These long-duration incidents take a toll. Staying hydrated, fueled, and comfortable is essential for the men and women working tirelessly to protect our communities. ❤️

If you’re looking for a way to support your local fire department, consider donating some of the items on our list — water and hydration drinks, non-perishable snacks, or other everyday essentials. You can also consider making a monetary donation so your department can purchase exactly what they need.

Thursday Sept 3rd , Rosedale Fire Department will be doing our annual engine pump test and maintenance, the water pressure will be low and the water may be stirred up. This is not an issue for RWD8. I’m sorry for the inconvenience for everyone the test should be in the morning but the results of the water maybe all day. Thank you and God bless you all and thank you as always for supporting us in all that we do.

McClain County has issued a county-wide burn ban. The burn ban was issued on August 10th, 2026, and will be in place for two weeks.

Best handlebar mustache in the fire service.

Will McLin just took the title.

His story started with a fire—watching volunteer crews protect his family’s ranch and deciding to step in himself.

Sixteen years later, he’s Chief of the Elmore City Fire Department.

That’s what this job looks like—people showing up when it matters.

And somewhere along the way, the mustache became part of it too.

Appreciate everyone who stopped by, voted, and made this such a fun part of FDIC!
