Maisy Erickson, Volunteer Coordinator of the Butte Rescue Mission, gave us a preview today of the upcoming annual banquet to celebrate 50 years of service to the Butte community. Spoiler: It's October 15, and you can buy tickets here: https://secure.qgiv.com/event/brmbanquet26/

Fun facts:
In 1976, following hospitalization for alcoholism, Dallas Doyle was challenged to "drink himself to death" on St. Patrick's Day. Staring in a glass, he found his path to be an evangelist preacher in Butte and found the Butte Rescue Mission.

Fast forward to 2025: 111,674 meals were served with 383 people receiving shelter.

The Butte Rescue Mission has walked alongside people in every single stage of addiction. We’ve witnessed the heartbreak of tragic losses, but we’ve also been blessed to witness the breathtaking beauty of redemption and recovery.

Yesterday, The Butte Rescue Mission and Beautiful Minds Recovery painted the sky purple to honor lives lost, support those fighting, and prove that recovery takes a community.

Wishlist Wednesday ✔🗒

With the current hot and smoky conditions in Butte, we’ve seen a major uptick in neighbors stopping by our doors throughout the day seeking relief and basic necessities. While we distribute clothing, shoes, and hygiene kits every single day, our shelves are running dangerously low, and we are nearly out of hygiene products. Especially our travel-size products.

People in our community still need these essential items every day to stay safe, healthy, and clean. You can make a direct difference right now!

Check out the list below for the items we need most, or click the link in our bio to shop our Amazon Wishlist and have items shipped directly to our mission:

Every single donation helps us keep our doors open and our shelves stocked for those who need it most. Thank you for standing with us and supporting our community!

Wishlist Wednesday 🗒️✔️

Here are our top three urgent needs this week:
Gas-Powered Push Mowers (1–2 needed): Our trusty lawn mower recently died, and we need a replacement to keep our campus grounds safe, beautiful, and well-maintained.

Shampoo & Conditioner: Our shelves are nearly empty! A shower is so much more than just basic hygiene to the people we serve it’s a moment of dignity, refreshment, and care.

Reusable Water Bottles: With the high summer heat, we are handing out water constantly. Having reusable bottles on hand allows us to keep hydration accessible for everyone who walks through our doors.

Want to help? Drop off your donations directly at 610 E Platinum St or reach out to us to coordinate. Every contribution makes a direct impact right here in our community! Thank you for your continued generosity and support.

Big news from Butte Rescue Mission! Our team is officially WRAP One Certified!

The Wellness Recovery Action Plan (WRAP) is an evidence-based system that helps individuals manage challenges, navigate recovery, and build lasting well-being. With this certification, our team is even better equipped to walk alongside our guests with practical tools to recognize daily wellness signs, identify early triggers, build stability action steps, and create effective crisis plans.

While we might not be under a code red right now, the high heat and heavy wildfire smoke rolling through Butte can still make being outside tough and unhealthy.

If you or someone you know needs a safe, cool place to escape the smoke and heat, our doors are open at the Center of Hope, located at 610 E. Platinum St. Come on by for a cool, clean air, and a welcoming place to rest.

Share this post or let anyone who might need refuge know that a safe space is available. Stay hydrated and take care of yourselves!

The "Crack of Dawn" Narcotics Anonymous early morning group joined forces with the Butte Rescue Mission this weekend for an afternoon of food, fun, and genuine connection.

Moments like these remind us that recovery flourishes in community. Thank you to everyone who came out, cooked, served, and spent time with us!

Wishlist Wednesday ✔🗒

Montana just shattered some record-high temperatures. While many of us can head indoors to crank up the AC, extreme heat poses a very real, dangerous threat to our neighbors experiencing homelessness.

For the most vulnerable in our community, staying protected from the elements isn’t just about comfort.... it’s about survival.

This Wishlist Wednesday, we are asking for your help to build "summer protection kits" to keep our guests safe, hydrated, and healthy.

Reusable Water Bottles, Bug Spray, Sunscreen, Aloe Vera Gel, Chapstick, and Ball Cap Donations.

Donations can be dropped off at the Center of Hope at 610 E. Platinum St. A simple bottle of sunscreen or a reusable water bottle can truly save a life. Thank you for always wrapping your arms around our community when it matters most!
