๐จ Vehicle Fire Response ๐จ
At 16:15 hrs (4:15 PM), the Northern Pendleton Fire District was dispatched to a reported fully involved vehicle fire at the intersection of Pleasant Hill Road and Crane Lane.
Engine 2801, Engine 2802, and Ambulance 2870 immediately responded and arrived on scene to find a vehicle completely involved in fire, with flames beginning to spread into a freshly cut hay field nearby.
Fortunately, all occupants were able to safely exit the vehicle prior to the arrival of emergency personnel, and no injuries were reported.
Firefighters quickly deployed hose lines and were able to bring the vehicle fire under control while preventing the fire from spreading further into the field. Their rapid response helped minimize damage and prevent a potentially larger grass fire incident.

The Northern Pendleton Fire District would like to remind everyone that during the dry summer months, vehicle fires can quickly spread to surrounding grass and fields. If you experience a vehicle fire, pull over safely, exit the vehicle immediately, move to a safe distance, and call 911.
