PUBLIC SERVICE ANNOUNCEMENT

The Bureau of Dog Law will be traveling throughout the County making sure all dogs are properly licensed for 2026.

$500 citations will be issued for every unlicensed dog.

The canvassing begins in northern Butler County in Slippery Rock and the surrounding areas on Wednesday May 13.

Canvassing will continue southward over the next 3-weeks with concentrated canvassing in Cranberry Township, the City of Butler, and other surrounding municipalities.

Dog licenses are sold in the county treasurer’s office or online on the county website.
