At around 11:00 PM on 5/19/26, Butler FD received a mutual aid assignment into West Milford Township for a working junkyard fire. Tower 343 and Chief 346 responded. Tower 343 operated at multiple locations inside the complex to help contain the fire. Our crew was released at approximately 5:30 AM on 5/20/26.

Don't forget today is the day for the Butler FD fundraiser sponsored by the Ford Motor Company and the GREAT people at Route 23 Automall. So come on down to our firehouse located at 26 Cary Ave in Butler and take a test drive. For every test drive the fire department will receive $30.

Please Sign Up to Help Us! All we need is for you to register for this event before Saturday! The sign up takes less than 5 minutes and will help your Volunteers who give countless hours to our great town! We will also have Cotton Candy for the Kids!

All you have to do is sign up for a test drive and Ford will donate $30 to your Volunteers to help us offset unexpected equipment costs from the Main St Fire so that we can continue utilizing our budget for planned expenses this year.
While we do plan for replacement equipment on a schedule, large incidents such as the recent fire can speed up the life cycle of equipment. See less

Route 23 Automall and Ford are doing a Fundraiser to help us replace equipment that was damaged during the Main Street Fire! We need your help!

Please sign up to test drive a car at our Firehouse!. This will help us to replace the equipment and not affect the taxpayers of Butler.

We always plan on a certain amount of equipment replacements on a set schedule in our budget each year, but fires like on Main Street can cause more than normal damage to our gear and equipment.

This past Sunday morning our members as well as members of several Mutual Aid Organizations trained at our Carey Ave Firehouse.
This drill simulated a Specialized Rescue with multiple patients involved in a Forklift loading a truck.
Crews worked to stabilize the vehicles, ensure the safety of the work areas, begin patient care (TBFAS), secure impalements and prep that victim for removal and working methodically to free a victim with large quantities of materials dropped on them with potential crush injuries.
The crews went through several evolutions to test our skills and our minds
Drills like this especially with our mutual aid partners are great learning experiences and help to make us all better!

(Note- Excavator pictured was not part of the drill. It was used as an additional safety measure until our crews were able to strut the vehicles to stabilize them)

We’re excited to announce the 2nd Annual Butler Fire Department Golf Outing is set for September 22, 2026 at Black Bear Golf Course!

Last year was an awesome turnout, and we’ve had a ton of people asking when we’re doing it again — so here it is. Expect a great day on the course, good food, cold drinks, and a fun afternoon after with lunch and prizes.

🏌️‍♂️ Shotgun start: 9:00 AM
💲 $185 per player (Until July, then Full Price)

Spots will fill up, so if you’re planning to play, don’t wait too long.
