City of Butler Georgia

City of Butler Georgia This is the creation of the City of Butler Georgia's page. We will be experimenting with news and information for the citizens of our town.

Please be patient with us in this new adventure. Welcome citizens! Butler is the county seat for Taylor County. The Taylor County Courthouse was built in 1935 and is listed on the National Register of Historic Places. The Courthouse’s bell tower was restored in 1995. The Country Side Festival is held annually in the heart of downtown Butler. The festival includes arts and crafts, live entertainment, a parade, and other activities for the entire family.

🎤 Taylor County… it’s your turn to take the stage.

We’re excited to announce the very first **Road to Music on Main** happening Friday, June 26th in Downtown Butler!

This free local artist showcase is open to ALL ages and ALL music genres. Whether you sing country, gospel, acoustic, pop, southern rock, or something completely different… we want to hear you.

This event is designed for solo artists and smaller acoustic-style groups, and all music must be clean and family-friendly.

The best part? The community will help choose the winner through live voting at the end of the event! The winning artist will earn the opportunity to open for the main act at the 2026 Taylor Made Fall Festival on November 7th. 🎶
