Taylor County has been home to many Solar Farms with no active Ordinances to protect the county or citizens. Planning and Zoning has been working hard to create Ordinances to do so. We currently have no plans for a data center but wanted to be protected in the event that one is presented. This is the first step to adopting the ordinances after which they will be presented to the Board of Commissioners on April 21st. If you have any questions or concerns, please reach out to the board office.

***NOTICE***

The Taylor County Commissioners ran a notice in the paper back in October 2025, that we would be removing the dumpsters on Mangham Rd due to wetland contamination on October 20th. We held off on moving them since the holidays were coming up and to see if we could locate another site in that area. Please reach out to the board office if you have property in that area that we could place dumpsters on. The dumpsters on Mangham Rd will be removed completely by the end of this month.
