The Butler County Area Agency on Aging The Butler Co. Area Agency on Aging serves as a resource for seniors and their families Other AAoA services are available simply by request.

The Butler County Area Agency on Aging (AAoA) administers programs and manages services for Butler County residents who are 60 years of age or older. Agency programs and services are designed to serve approximately 41,000 older adults who call Butler County home. The AAoA currently provides supportive services to approximately 18,000 senior citizens a year in Butler County. Eligible older adults experiencing health or frailty challenges, that essentially make them homebound, may be provided a range of in-home services geared to their specific needs; from light housekeeping up to and including intensive health monitoring services. In-home services require an assessment in your home by a caseworker to determine your eligibility. Butler County Area Agency on Aging operates nine senior centers where active and vital older adults enjoy a full range of activities that include health, wellness and exercise programs, Life Lecture Series, Supper Clubs, trips and traditional crafts and games.

Wow! We were blown away by the response to our open house yesterday! We welcomed over 500 people to the new Butler County Aging Resource Center. Thank you to all of the legislators, our board members, and partners of the Area Agency on Aging who were able to join us at our open house luncheon. Special thank you to The Nutrition Group for sponsoring the event and providing a wonderful meal and snacks for our evening open house. Lastly, thank you to our amazing front desk volunteers for assisting with the event, both day and night - we are so grateful! It can happen gradually and often involves someone the older adult knows and trusts. Early reporting matters. The sooner concerns are reported, the better chance of protecting the older adult and documenting what happened
