Libraries help us grow and glow, and of course we want to share that experience with our friends and family.

Today, tag a friend or family member in the comments and encourage them to get a library card if they do not have one. If they DO have one, that sounds like a great reason to have a friend date at the library!

You have your card, you visited the library, and you found out all about our Butler County Federated Library System app, as well as the Libby app.

But now that you are trying to access these apps, you are being asked for a login and PIN number, and you are not sure where to find those.

Your login or user ID number is simply the full string of numbers under your barcode on your card (no spaces between numbers).

Your PIN is the last 4 digits of that same number.

If you are having any trouble, reach out to any library staff member for help!

Labor Day seems like the perfect time to showcase the Standard Steel Car Employee Card collection, and show what kind of information they can provide.

Here is an example of an employee named Paul Rudich.

Since the library is closed today, it is the perfect opportunity to gather what you need in order to sign up for a library card!

Any Butler County resident can get a card for FREE!

You must show photo ID with current address, or ID and proof of address (such as a utility bill). Kids can get their own card at ANY AGE, they just need their parent or guardian to show ID and proof of address.

Complete a short application, and then your library card is created, put in your hands, and your access begins immediately!

The cards do need to be renewed annually, to insure your patron record has all the correct information on it!
