If you drive up on an emergency vehicle parked across the roadway with it’s emergency lights activated, please don’t drive around it! The road or traffic lane should be considered closed until the emergency vehicles are clear from the scene. We only block traffic to allow first responders to safely do their jobs.
Just this morning, our personnel were working a traffic accident on the highway and had emergency vehicles parked across the roadway blocking the lane of traffic when several vehicles drove around our trucks. This put our first responders in danger as they were providing medical aid to those involved in the accident.
