We would like to congratulate FF Forte and FF DeGirolamo for completing essentials fire fighter 1!

Over the past several months, these members have dedicated countless hours, multiple days a week, to classroom instruction, hands-on training, and challenging practical skills. Their hard work and commitment to furthering their knowledge and abilities have truly paid off!

Their journey doesn’t stop here! Both members are now looking ahead to their next goal of obtaining their National Firefighter I Certification.

We are incredibly proud of their accomplishments and the dedication they continue to show toward bettering themselves, our department, and the community we serve.

It’s been a busy week for the members of Bushkill Fire Company as we spent time throughout our community promoting fire safety and prevention!

While handling daily fire operations, our members had the opportunity to visit Bushkill Elementary, participate in multiple community events, and connect with residents of all ages to share important fire prevention and life safety information.

Fire prevention is about more than responding to emergencies — it’s about educating our community, raising awareness, and helping prevent emergencies before they happen.

We would like to extend a sincere thank you to all who welcomed us throughout the week!

Upon arrival, personnel found that a vehicle had struck the center support post between the residence’s garage doors, resulting in a partial structural collapse. There were no reported injuries or occupants entrapped.

Hazards involving the residence and vehicle were mitigated, and temporary shoring was installed to stabilize the damaged area. The vehicle was then safely removed from the structure.

On 9/15, Bushkill Fire Company switched drill night to participate in a rural water movement joint training exercise with Marshalls Creek Fire Company, Shawnee Fire Company-PA, Stroudsburg Fire Department and Stroud Township Volunteer Fire Department - Station 37 at Shawnee Mountain.

These trainings are essential in preparing our departments to effectively access and utilize limited water sources during emergency operations. In rural, non-hydrant areas throughout our communities, establishing and maintaining an efficient water shuttle operation is critical to providing a continuous and reliable water supply.
