** SATURDAY: Our overall-windiest day since June! (elevated fire weather concerns too)

Although wind speeds (not quite high enough) and relative humidity (not quite low enough) appear to fall short of any of our Warning criteria, Saturday nonetheless should be our overall-windiest day since June 22nd with southerly gusts 40-50 MPH. Caution is advised for potential wildfires...especially harvest-related field fires (which could spread rapidly).

SIDE NOTE: Although you might not always think about it, the summer months are typically our LEAST-WINDY time of the year (due to a weaker jet stream aloft, weaker low pressure systems etc.). However, the other three seasons typically feature numerous windy days, and this Saturday will feature our first TRULY windy day of the 2025 fall season.
