Rescue units responded this evening to the pitman creek area for a water rescue. It was reported that a person jumped in the water from a boat and did not resurface. The search has suspended for the night and will resume at 0800 tomorrow morning. Please avoid the area to allow personnel to work with no wake.

Last night crews trained on pump operations, this included drafting from a static water source for flowing high volume amounts of water, also utilizing tankers to shuttle the water from hydrants. We would like to thank State Fire Rescue Training, District 14 for putting on the training! Also attending was members from Parker’s mill fire dept and South Whitley fire dept. Thanks to all for putting in the work!

This morning, Tateville Fire Department, along with Burnside and Parkers Mill Fire Departments, responded to a structure fire in the Tateville community. Fire crews were able to make a quick knockdown, limiting fire damage. Thank you to everyone who responded.
