Posting on behalf of the Burns Booster Club:

Parents, the Burns Booster club is putting on Post Prom April 18th, from 11:00 pm to 3:00 am at the North gym, Burns WY.

There will be games, prizes, food, drinks, and music. Pancake breakfast will start at 2:00 am.

If your child is too tired to drive home we do have drivers who can take them home. Please fill out the permission slip if you would like your child to go to Post Prom.

Just like Prom, Post Prom is for Junior/Seniors and their dates. If your child is a Freshman or Sophomore or out of town dates/non BHS student attending prom with a Junior or Senior please fill out the permission slip.

***Your Junior/Senior and their date who are going to post prom need to have a permission slip filled out. That is their ticket into Post Prom.***

If you are a Burns HS junior or senior and do not want to go to prom you are still welcome at post prom, HOWEVER, you will NEED to have a waiver signed by your parent to get in.

Questions please email the Burns Booster Club at [email protected]. Or get a hold of Mikki Munson or Kayla Kieser-Madler

We also will have people available to give your child a ride home if they are to tired to drive.

Thank you so much!

Burns Booster Club is hosting Post Prom will be held at the North Gym, Burns WY from 11:00 pm to 3:00 am. Music, games, prizes, and food all provided by the Booster Club, Ranch Eats, Josie Creamery, and Oasis.

All,
Today there were multiple bomb threats called in to various schools around Wyoming. I have just spoken to the onsite deputies at the Burns locations and BOTH schools have been swept by K-9 units and have been cleared. They are moving on to another location but at this time there is NO THREAT to either school in Burns. I want to thank Laramie County Sheriff's Office for their diligence in responding promptly and clearing this reported threat.

The town is looking into providing movies on Saturdays. This will be a collaborative program with the Burns Lions Club providing the personal to run the movie and the Boys & Girls Clubs of America selling popcorn. The reason for this post is to gauge interest in this idea and to see if it’s worth pursuing. Thoughts?

-Mayor Joe

UPDATE: This will be free to the public. The only thing that will cost is the popcorn, if you would like some.

Due to an increase of businesses out of Cheyenne using our town compost pile the gates are now locked. Anyone from Burns who is needing to dump compost please stop by town hall and check in to get it unlocked.
