PORTER COUNTY DISASTER DECLARATION
Due to the significant impacts from Tuesday’s severe storm, Porter County is declaring a disaster for the county.
This declaration recognizes the widespread damage and impacts experienced across Porter County and allows emergency management and local officials to coordinate resources, document damage, and pursue additional assistance as appropriate.
Residents and businesses who experienced storm-related damage are encouraged to report that damage to 211 as indicated on our post shared earlier today.
Porter County Emergency Management will continue working with our local, state, and federal partners as we assess the full extent of the damage and determine what additional assistance may be available.
We appreciate the hard work of our first responders, public safety agencies, public works crews, utility companies, volunteers, and everyone working to help our communities recover.
