Located in Burns Harbor, Indiana the Burns Harbor Park Department serves town and community residents with outdoor, family-friendly recreation. Memorial Day weekend – Labor Day weekend swimming, fishing, children summer programming, paddle boat and row boat rentals are available. Lakeland Park and Bolinger Park are overseen by p

ark staff year-round; however, Lakeland Park is home-base for the park department. Lakeland Park is equipped with a swimming and fishing lake, baseball diamond, basketball court, volleyball court, and much more. With affordable season and daily passes available, this is a great summer getaway for families. Bolinger Park is a smaller neighborhood park but great location for playgrounds and picnic shelters. Bolinger Park is located on Tonya Street off of Highway 20.

Did you know our parks have been bringing the community together for decades?
β€’ 1966 – The Town of Burns Harbor was established, with a vision for community spaces.
β€’ 1970s – Lakeland Park began growing into the heart of recreation in town.
β€’ 1990s–2000s – Youth programs, sports, and community events expanded.
β€’ 2017 – The Burns Harbor Park Foundation was created to help support park improvements and programs.
β€’ Today – Our parks continue to host events, activities, and memories for families all year long.
From summer days at the lake to community events and new improvements, Burns Harbor parks are built by and for our community.
