We loved seeing Natural Bridge Caverns ask their guides this question, so we decided to ask ours:

What’s something on the tour route that you wish you had more time to show guests?

Turns out, they all have answers!

Here’s Jennifer’s pick.

Same room. Same walls. Completely different experience 🔦✨

Longhorn Cavern’s Blacklight Tour reveals a hidden side of the cave as formations glow under blacklight. Many of these formations are so young and delicate that they’re easy to miss during the day, but they come to life under blacklight.

This unique tour is only offered as the first tour of the day on Saturdays and Sundays. It often sells out, but there are still a few spots available this weekend.

Ready to see the cave in a whole new light?

Sometimes the cave gives you the perfect photo opportunity. 📸

With water flowing through the cave, flashlight beams are creating reflections on the ceiling that almost look like sunlight dancing on the surface of a stream. Add a tricolored bat in just the right spot, and you’ve got a moment that’s hard to beat. 🦇✨

Not every wall in Longhorn Cavern looks the same.

Some sections are smooth from thousands of years of flowing water. Others reveal layers of limestone that tell the story of an ancient sea. And every now and then, you'll find a formation that looks completely different from everything around it.

One cave. A lot of personalities. 🪨✨

Which section is your favorite?

Professor Longhorn explains why Longhorn Cavern doesn’t flood—and why now is one of the best times to visit. 💧

Thanks to recent rains, water is flowing through the cave, dripping over formations, and creating sights you won’t see during drier parts of the year.

The best part? Tours run rain or shine.

🚶 Walking Tour: See water flowing through the cave and along sections of the historic walkway.

🔦 Blacklight Tour: Watch water glow under UV light as fluorescent minerals come to life.

🪖 Wild Cave Tour: Our most adventurous experience is even muddier (and more fun) after a good rain.

The water won’t stick around forever. Come see the cave while it’s at its most active!

For Cave Week, we thought it would be fun to show you what the cave looks like when all the lights are off.

Then we realized that would make a really boring video 🥱

So instead, here's a small section of Longhorn Cavern by flashlight 🔦

If you'd like to see the cave like this, try our Blacklight Tour! You'll explore the cave by lantern light and get to see how the cave's formations react to a blacklight 🤯 Tickets are available at visitlonghorncavern.com

It’s Cave Week and we’d like to congratulate the Slimy Salamander on being named Cave Animal of the Year 🏆

That’s exciting news for caves that…have Slimy Salamanders. 😑😂

At Longhorn Cavern, our resident wildlife includes cave crickets, the occasional scorpion, and tricolored bats (who are demanding a recount) 🦗🦂🦇

Come show our bats some love! Walking Tours are available daily 🎟️ VisitLonghornCavern.com
