We still have 4 spots for the sunset kayak tour happening this Saturday at 7pm.

We will be exploring the shore of Inks Lake State Park and its natural resources on this paddling trip. We'll talk about Riparian ecosystems, the plants and animals in and around the water, and the Geologic (rock) history of the Devil's Waterhole.

We regret to inform our guests that the Park is completely sold out of firewood, at the Park sStore and the vending machines. 😞

If you want to have a campfire, you will need to bring your own.

Please be a good steward and buy as locally as possible (local HEBs and convenience stores are usually well-stocked with firewood), and if you bring your own, please make sure it is pest-free, not from an area with Oak Wilt, and is not dimensional lumber.

And please… *do not* gather

🪵 twigs
🪵 sticks
🪵 leaves
🪵 dry grass
🪵 timber
🪵 dead trees
🪵 fallen logs
🪵 branches, or
🪵 roots
🪵 or anything else that might be construed as “gathered” 🧐

Gathering of firewood in Texas State Parks is prohibited, and can “gather” you a fine 🤨

Our wildflower walk this morning did not disappoint. Our hikers were able to identify over 24 species of flower, and took in some amazing views along the trail.
