‼️If anyone is available Tues 7/7 at 6pm, you are needed at the Copperas Cove city council meeting!
‼️MAGA community members have caught wind of a pride proclamation that was put on the agenda and plan to show up to block it.
✅️Please use your presence to show support for agenda item H.5 and the LGBQ+ community in our neighboring county. They are asking supporters to sit in the audience in pride/democratic/social justice shirts. And if you know someone from Cove who will speak in favor of the proclamation, make sure they are aware!

Today, Burnet County Young Democrats proudly celebrate Juneteenth. ❤️🖤💚

Today we celebrate freedom. We honor resilience. And we recommit ourselves to justice.

Juneteenth marks the day when the last enslaved people in Texas were finally informed of their freedom, reminding us that freedom delayed is freedom denied.
We celebrate not only the end of slavery, but the strength, perseverance, and courage of those who fought for a more just America. Juneteenth is a reminder that progress has never been automatic it has always been driven by ordinary people willing to stand up for dignity, equality, and opportunity.
As young Democrats, we honor that legacy by continuing the work of building communities where every voice is heard, every person is valued, and freedom is more than a promise it is a reality for all.
