Yesterday, at our final assembly for the year, we celebrated our May attendance! All students who achieved our 95% attendance goal earned a special paw keychain and were entered into both their class drawing for a 3-D printed object and our schoolwide prize drawing.🐾

Last week, we celebrated our April attendance achievements! Students who met our 95% attendance goal earned a fun animal squishy and were entered into both their class drawing for a 3-D printed object and our schoolwide prize drawing.

Ms. Loar’s 3rd graders had a paws-itively adorable surprise last Friday!

Each student had the opportunity to “adopt” a pet of their choice with one very important promise: to provide the best care possible by reading 15–20 minutes each day and practicing their math facts daily!

Students carefully picked out their new furry friend, chose a special name, and were beyond excited to bring their pets home. There’s nothing like encouraging learning while building responsibility and excitement for reading and math practice! 📚➕🐶🐱

Today’s Pie in the Face Attendance Challenge was a blast!

Students who earned 95% attendance or better during the 4th nine weeks got the chance to pie a staff member. Some students even earned extra pies for perfect attendance or winning our extra drawing! In total, 57 pies were smashed, splatted, and smeared today.

We’re still trying to decide who laughed harder — the students or the staff! 🥧🎯

The rain may have changed our plans, but it didn’t stop the fun and excitement during Field Day today! We had an absolute blast competing in the obstacle course, balloon volleyball, balloon waddle races, battle cups & pool noodle foosball, rock-paper-scissors showdowns, and glow dance party limbo! 🎈🏐🕺

Students and families also enjoyed a picnic-style lunch in the classrooms and cooled off with delicious Kona Ice. 🍧

A huge thank you to our Parent Coordinator, Mrs. Idleman, for planning such a fun-filled day for our students! We also want to give a special shoutout to all of our volunteers who helped lead each station and kept the fun going during Field Day. 👏🐾

Yesterday, our Kindergarten students invited 3rd grade down for a special partner reading time!

Our 3rd graders each chose a favorite book to share with their Kindergarten reading buddy and practiced their fluency and expression by reading aloud to them. Then, the buddies explored books together from the Kindergarten library and took turns reading to each other. Everyone had a blast! 📚❤️🐾
