When you read to a child you give them more then just a story, you give the your time, your voice and your heart. Cattlewomen have been busy this last week helping celebrate national beef month (May) reading to the area schools. Thank you Bethune, Flagler, Stratton, Burlington, Hi Plains and the Catholic schools for welcoming us into your classrooms. This year we read Kindergartner Rancher, by Racheal Gabel.

Kit Carson Cattlewomen came to visit our K-1 class and read the story "Kindergarten Rancher". Thank you Patty Ziegler and Lindsey Mills for the story and visit. This is something they enjoy every year.

RED BOOKS! Cattlewomen are excited to announce that Red books will available at the Burlington Livestock Exchange, English Accents, Farm Bureau, Kit Carson County Abstract, Hitchcocks, and TBK Bank in Stratton. Get one while supplies last!

Calling all Ladies!!!! (And Gents!!) Make sure to come out and join us on Sunday evening from 5-8 PM at the Burlington Bomgaars for Ladies Night! We will be there agin with a nice basket of local goodies for you to enter to win! 5% of proceeds go to our Pink Chaps Fund that help cancer fighters in Kit Carson County! We will also have some nomination forms there if you know of any fellow Kit Carson County community members currently going through treatment that need our help!
