The caterpillars have pupated! They’ll overwinter in their cocoons and emerge early next summer to mate and lay eggs. Should we raise caterpillars again next summer? Let us know in the comments!

We are so happy our new trail signage is making a difference in your ability to navigate our trails! These signs were a labor of love that took months to create, and all of the wood burned markers were made by hand by our land steward, Tyler Pastorok. Come check them out and see if you still get lost! Big thanks to the Vermont Agency of Natural Resources' Recreation Trails Program Grant that funded this work.

THE CATERPILLARS HAVE STARTED PUPATING! Come watch this fascinating process as they spin cocoons and begin their metamorphosis! We will continue offering Caterpillars Up Close until all of the caterpillars have pupated. Come by during our open hours, Thursday, Friday, and Saturday from 10am-2pm.

Every other Wednesday from 3:30-5pm we meet to work on projects including include native plantings, cutting introduced species, trail maintenance, and more.
