It was a great day planting the sunflower plot at the Graham Regional Park with Graham Recreation and Parks Department. We look forward to beautiful blooms later this summer!

Our partnership with the Alamance County Soil and Water Conservation District began in May 2021 and continues to thrive in 2026. Together, we created a pollinator plot in the large field at Graham Regional Park using the district’s no-till drill to plant the seeds.

Today, we’re once again planting black oil sunflowers alongside a colorful mix of wildflowers. These plantings help support pollinators, provide important habitat and food sources for birds and small mammals, and help reduce soil erosion by keeping the ground covered year-round.

A special thank you goes to the City of Graham, NC Public Works Department for assisting with the planting process.

Congratulations to Mr. & Mrs. Kiser on permanently preserving their farm! It has been another wonderful day for the Alamance County Farmland Preservation Program by permanently preserving 73.48 acres of the Kiser Farm, in partnership with North Carolina Agricultural Development and Farmland Preservation trust, Piedmont Land Conservancy and Alamance County.

Spring has arrived and so has our new No-Till Drill! Keep us in mind for all of your spring farm seeding needs. Our current rates are as follows:
$100 minimum rental fee/deposit (In County)
$150 minimum rental fee/deposit (Out of County)
$12 rental fee per acre

Requirements:
50 HP Tractor
2 Hydraulics
Pin Hitch
7ft working width
2 seed boxes (1 small, 1 large)
