Allied Churches of Alamance County, Inc. Allied Churches of Alamance County (ACAC) provides emergency services in a safe and healthy environment, while moving individuals toward self-sufficiency.

ACAC operates an emergency shelter, resource day center, community kitchen, and food pantry. ACAC seeks to provide basic needs as well as resources and case management support in order to meet social, educational, health, and other needs of the hungry and homeless in the surrounding community. In addition, we work with several community partners to provide services to shelter guests during their s

tay, and continued support once they have exited the shelter. Our services target those facing multiple barriers to success, including:

Homelessness / housing instability
Hunger / limited access to basic needs
Histories of abuse / neglect
Severe mental illness / chemical dependency
Minimal job training / community disconnect
Lack of education / no positive support

Today, we had the privilege of partnering with United Way of Alamance County to host our Open House, where we highlighted the vital work we do to serve our community and support individuals experiencing homelessness.
Our mission is simple yet powerful: to end homelessness—one person at a time. We know that each individual’s journey is unique, shaped by different challenges and circumstances. However, with planning, support, and the right resources, the destination can be the same: stability, dignity, and a place to call home.
We are grateful for the opportunity to share our work, build connections, and continue moving forward in our commitment to creating lasting change in our community.
