As the year comes to an end, please take a look through the 2️⃣0️⃣2️⃣3️⃣ RECAP!

The seven member elected Planning Board approved almost all applications in front of them this past year, which will allow for a number of new businesses to come to Burlington. This includes new restaurants 🍽, more research and development of green technology ♻️, and a new look for The District (next to the mall) 🏬.

2024 will be a busy year, with a number of projects already being planned out! Town Meeting will be voting on MBTA Communities Zoning Compliance and more information can be found here: https://www.burlington.org/1031/MBTA-Communities-Housing-Compliance .

The final Burlington Planning Board Meeting of 2023 will be tonight at 6:30 PM 🗓️. The board will be making votes on recommendations to Town Meeting regarding all proposed zoning articles. TREE LIGHTING POSTPONED: The Tree Lighting scheduled for Sunday has been POSTPONED due to inclement weather. The Tree Lighting will now take place on Tuesday, December 5th at 4 pm on the Town Common.

During the meeting, short presentations will be made regarding all 8 zoning amendments going to January Town Meeting. This part of the meeting will NOT be a public hearing, meaning members of the public will not be able to speak on these matters tonight. However, the next PB meeting (11/16), each zoning amendment will be a public hearing, which will allow for public comment. All interested residents are encouraged to attend tonight's board meeting to hear informative presentations on the proposed amendments. Eversource Energy is developing The Burlington-Woburn Supply Initiative to upgrade electrical infrastructure in Burlington, Woburn and Wilmington. They are hosting office hours on September 12 from 9 to 11 am, where people from the area can ask questions and learn more about the project at True North Coffee Shop (204 Cambridge Street) in Burlington. All are welcome and please RSVP by emailing [email protected] if you would like to attend.
