The Vermont Council on World Affairs (VCWA) works to promote awareness and understanding of the world and its people, places and cultures through education and engagement. In cooperation with the public and private sectors, the VCWA helps develop an understanding of the world and its people through public forums, hosting speakers, ambassadors and other international visitors and working with educa

As an integral part of its mission, the Vermont Council on World Affairs arranges itineraries and provides services to international visitors sponsored by the United States Department of State, United States Congress and other agencies. The core responsibility of the Director of the International Visitors for the VCWA is to plan, organize and administer the programs for all international visitors who are assigned to visit Vermont through the U.S.

In August, the Vermont Council on World Affairs was honored to host a Dinner Diplomacy gathering at BBCo, bringing together our community members and five International Visitor Leadership Program participants from the Mekong region. This event offered an intimate setting for meaningful dialogue on entrepreneurship and small business development.

Guests enjoyed a warm evening filled with shared experiences, thoughtful discussion, and insights from both local community members and international leaders. We are deeply grateful to everyone who joined us, contributing their perspectives and reinforcing the importance of global dialogue in fostering understanding, collaboration, and cross-cultural connections. This gathering reminded us of how travel and conversation can build bridges and strengthen relationships around the world.

Thank you to Global Ties U.S. Marriott International for supporting this event.
