The Fourth of July is one of the busiest days of the year for boating and water sports, and with good reason.

Ahead of the holiday weekend, we’re urging all water enthusiasts to wear a life jacket any time you are on the water — it could save your life. More than 75% of all boating-related deaths are the result of drowning.

One way to prevent the tragic loss of life is to put on the life jacket before you get on the water. It’s simple and goes a long way to safely start and happily end a fun outing with everyone happy and safe.

Today’s life jackets are lighter, cooler and come in all sorts of colors and styles to fit your water fun. Learn more about life jacket safety from the Wisconsin DNR: https://dnr.wisconsin.gov/Topic/Boat/LifeJackets
