Happy Valentine’s Day! We spent the morning at with .vt, , , and other amazing transportation groups for the annual Winter Bike to Work Day!

We love to bike all year round and enjoy how environmentally conscious it is. If you ever want tips for how to bike commute in the wintertime, we would love to share our experience!

We will be downtown on Saturday celebrating Earth Day with a couple of amazing community partners!!

Join the Rozalia Project and partners for an Earth Day Cleanup! From 9am-10:30am cleanup at Community Sailing Center (505 Lake St) followed by a trash sort from 11 am - 2pmChurch Street Marketplace in front of City Hall (149 Church St).

Join us for some winter biking festivities on Friday, February 9th! We will be gathering at UVM Bikes from 8a-9:30a that morning and then joining a group bike ride with Old Spokes Home and Local Motion at 6p.

Huge thanks to Chittenden Area Transportation Management Association - CATMA for coordinating all of these fun programs!

Celebrate the joy of biking year round on the EZ Breezy Glow Ride! A Pre-planned route meanders through downtown Burlington and Old North End, starting and ending at Local Motion HQ. There will be fun music to make this a groovy night to remember. Costumes encouraged, this is an short ride and no one is left behind!

Champlain College folks are meeting at Finney Quad at 5:30p to bike down to Local Motion together at 5:45p!

SAVE THE DATE: Bill McKibben, one of the most successful and influential environmental advocates and organizers of our time will be speaking at on January 25th.

This event is FREE and open to the public with the option of attending online (will be updated with a link in this post and our bio soon!) If you attend in person, you will have the opportunity to purchase a selection of his books from and get it signed by Bill himself.

Celebrate the darkest day of the year with a brilliant Winter Solstice Disco Bike Ride! A pre-planned route that meanders through downtown Burlington and Old North End means this is an easy ride for anyone who would want to join. There will be a music bike and disco tunes to make this a groovy night to remember. This is an easy ride and no one is left behind! The route is 6.5 miles long with few hills. Half of the ride is on bike paths but we will ride together and take the lane during the on-street parts.

During the coming weeks, CATMA is conducting our campus Transportation Survey. We conduct this survey annually to better understand travel behavior to, from, and around Champlain. Over the years, results from CATMA’s Transportation Survey have informed regional transportation plans, research projects, campus planning, transportation systems, and sustainability goals.The survey is open October 4th - 24th. Check your Champlain email for the invitation to participate in the survey, with a chance to win a $50 gift card. Thank you for your attention to this announcement and your input on the survey!
