Diwali, also known as Deepavali, is one of the most revered Hindu festivals, celebrated over five days to mark the triumph of good over evil. The term "Diwali" translates to "rows of diyas," referring to the clay lamps that are lit and placed around homes and places of worship. These lamps symbolize the inner light that can dispel ignorance, represented by darkness. During this festive period, devotees come together in temples, homes, or community centers to enjoy time with family and friends, set positive intentions, and express gratitude for life.

Join us on Saturday, September 28th, 2024, for Burlingame's 19th annual Pet Parade!

Parade starts at 10:00am at Broadway and Chula Vista. Participants should meet and start lining up at 9:30am in parking lot Y.
Come out and enjoy a morning full of music from the BHS band, Los Trancos Marching Band, and the San Mateo Elks Band, pets of all sizes, balloon animals, and fun prizes!
