Learn how you can get a package equivalent to a typical Caribbean all-inclusive package for some resorts in Fiji.

FDA has finalized new rules which mandate significant changes to the Nutrition Facts labels for food, beverages, and dietary supplements. The compliance deadline for manufacturers with less than $10 million in annual food sales is January 1, 2021.
Larger businesses were required to comply in January 2020.
Labeling errors are a leading cause of FDA detentions.
Businesses in Fiji should begin updating thier labels now to assure compliance with the new FDA requirements.

10/27/2020

Food Facilities that are registered with FDA must renew registration NOW through to December 31, 2020.

Shipments from Fiji may be refused entry to the US if the associated food facility registration is not renewed properly. Since 2018, FDA has cancelled 20% of Food registrations due to failure to renew!

New this year, facilities will need to submit Unique Facility Identifiers (UFIs) as a part of renewal. If a facility does not already have a UFI, it is prudent to request one immediately.

D-U-N-S numbers are currently the only UFIs recognized by FDA.

It is possible that this new requirement may cause a backlog of UFI requests thus slowing the renewal process. A delay in receiving a UFI puts your facility at risk of not being able to renew in time and falling short of compliance.
