🍩💙 A Huge Thank You to Kiowa Casino & Hotel! 💙🍩

Officer Guerra was all smiles after receiving some fresh, delicious donuts from our friends at Kiowa Casino & Hotel! We can confirm they disappeared almost as fast as they arrived. 😋😉

Thank you for thinking of the Burkburnett Police Department and for the sweet surprise. We truly appreciate your support and generosity toward our officers and staff. It’s community partnerships like these that make our town special!

Donut worry… we left a few for everyone else. 😉 🚔🍩

🎨🚔 Community outreach looks a little different this week!
While attending the PLECET Training Conference in Dallas, Chief D. Miller rolled up his sleeves and took part in one of the conference’s community service projects—supporting the Ronald McDonald House.
We’re pretty sure “professional painter” still isn’t anywhere in his job description, but as part of the conference’s commitment to giving back, he was glad to jump in and help! 😄
PLECET encourages attendees to serve the communities hosting their training events, and we’re proud to represent Burkburnett by lending a helping hand wherever we are. Because serving others isn’t confined to city limits—it’s about making a difference wherever the opportunity arises.
From protecting our hometown to supporting families in need on the road, it’s all part of the same mission of service.
(But don’t worry… we’ll still be keeping an eye on those paint lines when he gets back! 😂🎨❤️)

🚔🧸 72 New recruits have arrived at the Burkburnett Police Department! 🧸🚔

Officer Guerra accepted a special donation of teddy bears from an anonymous donor (seriously, an awesome guy).

Now before rumors start… these little guys probably won’t pass fi****ms qualifications or make it through defensive tactics 😆 BUT they are specially trained in providing comfort and smiles to children during difficult situations.

These teddy bears will be used to help comfort children when they may be scared, upset, or facing a difficult moment.

Thank you for helping us make a difference — one teddy bear hug at a time. ❤️

As we gather with family and friends this Memorial Day, let us first pause to remember the true meaning of this day. Today, we honor the brave men and women who gave their lives fighting for our freedom and for this country we call home. 🇺🇸

In a time when our nation faces challenges and division, Memorial Day serves as a powerful reminder that the freedoms we enjoy were never promised , they were paid for through courage, sacrifice, and the lives of those willing to stand in harm’s way for something greater than themselves.
Freedom is not free. The ability to speak freely, live freely, worship freely, and raise our families in this country came at an unimaginable cost. Far too often, we take those freedoms for granted, forgetting that someone gave everything to protect them.
Today, we remember. We honor. We reflect.

To all who served, and especially to those who made the ultimate sacrifice, thank you will never be enough, but we say it anyways. Thank you for your courage. Thank you for your service. And thank you for the freedom we are blessed to have. ❤️🤍💙

Please take a moment today to remember our fallen heroes, cherish your loved ones, and stay safe this Memorial Day weekend.

We had a great time today at the Burkburnett Hight School Career Day!

This event is put on for juniors and seniors to give them the opportunity to interact with and explore possible career paths for their future. We were truly thankful to be a part of it.

There were so many amazing young adults, and they asked some very thoughtful questions. It is always encouraging to see the interest, curiosity, and bright futures ahead for the next generation. Thank you to BISD for allowing us to participate and connect with these outstanding students!

“Who knows… maybe we met some future law enforcement officers today!” 😊
